Bring your kids along with the Mongoose Envoy.
I bought a Mongoose Envoy cargo bike from Amazon a few months ago and built a rack for it so I could haul my daughter around. This video shows that rack off. Maybe it'll inspire you. It's made from 1/2" conduit, shaped with bender, and welded together. The wood is all 3/16" maple plywood with the exception of the spoke guards. Those are 1/8" MDF. The seat is a cheap Manned Cushion seat that I got from Amazon. I finished this one with Rustoleum professional paint and blue handlebar tape. We've ridden it many hundreds of miles together and it's been a great bike for family rides.
