Yamaajisai(The mountain hydrangea) is a wild species of hydrangea that has been growing wild in Japan since ancient times. Compared to hydrangeas, mountain hydrangeas are more compact in size and have a more wild appearance. They are easy to grow and there are many varieties, so they have recently become very popular in Japan.
