HEMA Longsword Sparring: Arto Fama vs Colin Miraglio

During Bladeworks 2024, organised by the Medieval Combat Group in Belfast, I had the chance to meet a bunch of awesome fencers From the Dutch club Zwaard & Steen. This club doesn't really need introduction, so to put it simply, they are amazing fencers and I am glad I got an opportunity to spar with them. First sparring video of the event is with Arto Fama. One of the best longsword fencers in the world. He taught us great workshops all day on saturday, and we then had a sparring bout together on Sunday. As you can see in the video, he's a very good and super technical fencer. He constantly has full control of the situation and his defence is unbreakable. He makes it look easy, although I was trying hard ! it was a great learning moment.
