Gas Manufacture (1959)

In this 16mm film made in Melbourne Victoria, we are shown how town gas is made from coal. The steps shown in manufacture take us from mining coal, transporting it to the gas plant, roasting the coal and cleaning the extracted gas, and finally mixing the coal gas with other types of gas for distribution to home and industry.
