🔸 Wushikeng Mountain x Chuanxingshan (Niao 210) Forest Trail Today we hiked Wushikeng Mountain in the Daxueshan Forest Recreation Area. We entered the Chuanxingshan Forest Trail (formerly known as the 210 Forest Trail) from the Baoan Temple near the toll station. Upon entering, we were greeted by a carpet of red leaves! It seems we caught the tail end of the autumn foliage season in Daxueshan. Along the trail, there were many patches of red leaf carpets and leaves that hadn't yet fallen, making for a beautiful landscape. We could also catch glimpses of the area around Yuanzui. After reaching the Wushikeng Mountain trailhead marker, we continued uphill to Niaoshikeng Mountain. The distance from the trailhead to the triangulation point wasn't long or very steep, making it feel like a side trip to Wushikeng Mountain. However, the Chuanxingshan Forest Trail was the main attraction. You can also cut into Chuanxingshan from the Chuanxingshan Forest Trail; next time, we'll try a small O-shaped route. After descending, we went to the Daxueshan Forest Recreation Area Visitor Center, where the autumn leaves were also abundant. We even saw the famous Mingyang! This time we stayed at Huilai Daxueshan. It seems that since last year, the accommodation and meals have been handled by Huilai Daxueshan.
