Tristan De Cunha Parachute Operation - Awesome Joint Humanitarian Op!

A talk through the awesome joint operation carried out by the Pathfinders, RAF, 47 Air Dispatch Sqn and RAF/Army Medical Services at the weekend. A doctor and nurse were delivered by tandem freefall, and 3.3 tonnes of medical supplies parachuted in to the remote island. This operation was in urgent response to a British national who had contracted the Hantavirus, after being on board the MV Hondius, where three people have died and 10 have been confirmed as contracting the virus. I speak briefly about the roles and capabilities of the Pathfinders (whom I served with for 12 years), and some of the challenges faced for the operation.
