Understanding VNAs - Power Calibration
Although not as a common as system error correction used for S-parameter measurements, scalar power calibration is an important type of VNA calibration needed when making power-related (wave) measurements, particularly for measurements such as gain compression and P1dB. This presentation provides a short technical overview of power calibration, explains the difference between source and receiver power calibration, and describes the process used for each type of power calibration.
