MOHAMMED ALI ROAD in the month of Ramzan | Mumbai street food paradise

So our Mohammed Ali Road adventure begins with finding our way through jam-packed lanes in search for some heavenly Haleem, and heavenly it certainly was with the flavour of the mutton and spices coming through so well. Taking a break from walking in the crowd, Famous restaurant is where we land up to have some Chicken Tandoori with a creamy touch followed by the Reshmi Chicken Barra which was a little overdone and a bit messy too. After that, we dig into the Mutton Bheja which is soft and leaves you with an authentic taste that lingers even after you’re done eating it. In urgent need of refreshment, we then have the Instagram approved Mohabbat-e-sharbat which is made of Rooh Afza and watermelon chunks and is totally worth the hype. Next is something that’s truly made for social media, the theatrics and the taste of this natural fruit-based roller ice cream has to be experienced here. We follow that with some more sweet in the form of Mawa Jalebi with some decadent Rabdi. Finally, we’ve got a Middle-Eastern delicacy called Baklava which is basically like a puff pastry with rose water and sugar essence with loads of pistachios, and we end our adventure with a chocolate version of it.
