It's been exactly 30 days since we split the hive on May 30th. In this video, we're reopening the split hive and checking each frame individually. We're seeing the queen bee and examining the fresh eggs and sealed brood. Although the bee density is low in the first frames, the colony has shown good development in the later frames. We don't expect any honey from this split this season. Our goal is to create a strong production colony next season. Do you think this split was successful?
