Flamenco Footwork Drills - Triplets | The Flamenco Coach

In this video I’m going to show you two ways to practice triplets. These two exercises can be used as a warm up before you get in to your dancing practice, or you can use them in drills for improving your technique. Triplets are important to master in flamenco as they are used in many different choreographies. If you would like to know which compás rhythm I am using to practice this exercise, it is ‘Bulerias en 6’, from the Dr. Compás app. Choose your own tempo! I used 130bpm in this video. This is a good tempo if you're just starting out, especially for the first exercise. You may want to decrease the tempo a little bit for the second exercise if you're finding its too fast when doing the step in double time. Happy dancing --- 💃🏽 Ready to learn flamenco? A little update: all of my online flamenco courses now live inside my membership studio — which honestly feels much lighter and more joyful than having a million separate links floating around the internet 😅 So if you’ve been wanting to dance more consistently, deepen your technique, or simply have flamenco in your life more regularly, you’re very welcome inside. ✨ Explore the online studio here: https://www.theflamencocoach.com/onli... or if you’re done being lost in the compás, start here with Hearing the 12: https://www.theflamencocoach.com/hear... (Warning: side effects may include stronger footwork, emotional expression, and a completely unreasonable love of compás.) --- MUSIC CREDIT: Intro Clip: Anthony Lindhjem
