The new stage of the investigation targets the possible participation of shareholders and representatives of the main private banks in the country in the scheme. The 10th Federal Criminal Court of Rio de Janeiro ordered the blocking of assets and funds of those under investigation up to the limit of R$ 54 billion, an amount indicated by expert reports as the loss caused by the alleged fraud. Nine search and seizure warrants are also being executed, including personal searches, in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
