Dosso Sassello e Monte Paghera

Magnificent ridge traverse above Lake Idro. The excursion that we propose develops on the crest of the mountains that overlook the western shore of Lake Idro. This ridge of the Lombard Prealps is not very high, just over 1000 meters, and we have made the stretch between Pieve Vecchia and Anfo. In some places the route requires experience to safely overcome easy, somewhat exposed rocks. Ideal itinerary for mid-seasons when the heat is not stifling and the air much clearer. ITINERARY From the parking lot, take the path along Lake Idro and arrive at Pieve Vecchia. Here you go up the path 457 up to Dosso Sassello (920 m) and then continue along the ridge. You go up and down passing through Monte Canale (975 m), the Costa Verde Pass (910 m) and Monte Paghera (1122 m). Now go down following the Anfo indication. On path no. 458 you have to take the path that goes to the Miners' Cross (900 m). Be careful because there are no signs. Return to path 458 and descend to Anfo (400 m). Return to the starting point following the lakeside path.
