九州新幹線15周年「つばめの大冒険」 800系U005編成 熊本港出航を見てきた！

On March 29, 2026, as part of the 15th anniversary celebration of the full opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen line, the "Tsubame's Great Adventure" began, with the Shinkansen Tsubame train crossing the sea to Hakata. Ten years prior, in 2016, the 800 series U005 trainset's first car was withdrawn from service. Unable to run on the tracks, it had been parked at the Kumamoto General Rolling Stock Depot ever since. However, this event saw the U005 trainset begin its journey across the sea to Hakata, marking its return to action after 10 years. The planned route involves departing from Kumamoto Port, stopping in Kagoshima Prefecture, and finally traveling by sea to Hakata Port. From there, it will be transported by land to the plaza in front of Hakata Station, where it will be displayed at an event from April 10th to 19th. This video shows my experience at the departure event at Kumamoto Port on March 29th. I was lucky enough to win a pre-event lottery to attend, and I went to see the U005 train set sail across the sea.
