Is This The Best Whisky of 2023? Trying the Award Winning Gordon & Macphail Mortlach 31 Year Old

In this video I begin to explore the world of Gordon & Macphail with trying an award winning 31 year old Mortlach distilled in 1989. I wanted to do a short series on Gordon & Macphail because I am getting really excited to attend the Victoria Whisky Festival where I'll be attending the Gordon & Macphail Grand Tasting. Earlier in 2023 the Gordon & Macphail Mortlach 1989 31 year old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Cask 4304 won the Whisky of the Year 2023 award from the International Whisky Competition scoring a massive 97.1 points in the process. It's an interesting competition where the experts voting on the whiskies only drink one whisky sample at a time. By doing this they ensure that they don't suffer from palate fatigue. The G&M Mortlach 1989 31 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Cask # 4304 is bottled at cask strength at 54.2% and is non-chill filtered and natural colour.
