Medical School Pathology: Pathophysiology of Congenital Heart Disease, Left to Right Shunts
This video for medical students begins by reviewing fetal circulation since that is key to understanding two of the left to right shunts we'll be addressing: patent foramen ovale and patent ductus arteriosus. Other topics included in this video include general characteristics of left to right shunts, Eisenmenger syndrome (tardive cyanosis), atrial septal defects, and ventricular septal defects. It is recommended that you watch this video before watching the video on right to left shunts.
