1933 French Hand Cranked Grinder - Restoration

Restoring an old french hand cranked grinder from Val D'or , very possibly dating from 1933. As the title suggests, I restored this wonderful and complex tool. My dear friend from OTND Restoration channel sent me. I started the restoration, by disassembly, as usual. As I have seen in other restorations of the same tool, I expected the sprockets to be simple, attached only to the holes in the gearbox. I was very surprised when I opened the gearbox and saw that it also had ball bearings. That was the moment when I realized that this restoration is a bit more complex, but at the same time even more satisfying. This restoration video is a little longer than I usually do, but I did it to make the work satisfying for you. Apart from asmr restoration, you will see many things restored using hands, others being restored with the help of the lathe. You will also see sandblasting, powder coating, making new parts on the lathe machine , diamond dressing grinding wheel , making new parts on the milling machine and etching brass for making a new name plate for this beautiful tool.
