4 Days in Yakushima | Exploring Japan’s Most Magical Island

4 Days in Yakushima | Hiking Through The Island That Inspired Princess Mononoke For four days, my brother and I explored Yakushima, the island that inspired Princess Mononoke. From lush forests filled with thousand-year-old yakusugi cedars to hidden waterfalls and quiet beaches, this trip reminded me why Japan is so unique. In this video, we hike to Shiratani Unsuikyo, meet wild Yaku macaques, reach the Jōmon Sugi, and end our adventure discovering a hidden shrine in a sea cave before catching the ferry home. Yakushima truly feels timeless, part jungle, part mountain, part ocean... all magic. 📍 Locations featured: – Shiratani Unsuikyo (Princess Mononoke Forest) – Taikoiwa Rock Viewpoint – Ōko Falls – Jōmon Sugi Hike – Wilson Stump – Yahazudake Shrine Link to the Airbnb: https://fr.airbnb.ch/rooms/9813704?gu... ⏱ Chapters: 0:00-0:30 Intro 00:31-2:43 Day 1 2:44-5:23 Day 2 5:24-8:22 Day 3 8:23-10:11 Day 4 🎵 Music: Epidemic Sound 📸 Gear: Sony A7IV · iPhone 16 Pro Max If you enjoyed this video, I'd love to hear your thoughts below, this is actually my first YouTube cinematic vlog :) #yakushima #japantravel #studioghibli #japanvlog #cinematicvlog #traveljapan #yakushimaisland #japannature #jomoncedar #hikingjapan
