This is where the administration sets the "rules of the game": how many positions are available, who can apply, the exam format, deadlines, and procedures. And pay attention to this: 645 positions (with a reserve for people with disabilities, and any remaining positions will be added to the general pool if they aren't filled). If you compare this to previous years, you'll understand why there's so much emphasis on this "goldmine": it's one of those calls for applications that changes the landscape because it significantly increases the real chances of getting a position if you do things right from the start. Requirements: For qualifications, a high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient. The age range is broad (from 16 years old up to the mandatory retirement age), and nationality includes, in addition to Spanish, EU citizens and family members in certain cases. The typical general requirements are also included (functional capacity, no disqualification, etc.). And regarding applications, a key point: they must be submitted electronically, and you need a digital certificate or electronic ID card (DNIe). Don't leave it until the last minute. The deadline mentioned is from February 19th to March 18th (20 business days from the day after publication). If you wait "because there's still time," a procedural error or oversight could easily disqualify you. Fees: €14.11 with reductions or exemptions depending on the case (large family, disability, job seeker, victims of gender violence/terrorism, etc.). As for the tests, the format is straightforward: two multiple-choice exercises (one on theory/psychometrics and the other focused on office skills). Time limits, the number of questions, and the penalty for incorrect answers are explained (blank answers don't count against you, and incorrect answers do). And there's a very interesting detail: the announcement includes a waiting list for temporary staff, a "pool" for those who perform well in the process even if they don't get a permanent position. This could translate into working as a temporary civil servant (with conditions similar to a permanent civil servant, but on a temporary basis), gaining experience, and staying motivated while you try again in the next round. The syllabus consists of two sections. The first is packed with regulations (Constitution, regional regulations, administrative procedures, Basic Statute of Public Employment, transparency, contracts, equality, etc.), and the second covers office software (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 tools). For the legal section, the recommended approach is clear: study the text directly from the Official State Gazette (BOE), because the examination board will ask questions based on the legislation. If you're going to start now, do it strategically. Five key points: 1) Secure your digital certificate/electronic ID and submit your application as soon as possible; 2) Start with a realistic study plan (available time, pace, and review); 3) Don't study the old-fashioned way by just reading and underlining; prioritize hierarchy, outlines, and smart review; 4) Gradually introduce practice tests and prioritize them as the exam approaches (study mode, missed questions, mock exams); 5) Use study materials and organization to make progress without wasting time.
