Learn to Play - Double Banjo Blues - Bluegrass Banjo
Tab: https://wildjimbo.sellfy.store/p/doub... Today we’re diving into a fun, classic Don Reno tune: "Double Banjo Blues." While Reno was known for some pretty advanced single-string work, I’ve put together a version that is much more approachable for bluegrass pickers while still capturing that signature drive and bluesy feel. The real "secret sauce" in this lesson is a triplet technique that makes it sound like you're doing a whole lot more than you actually are. It's a fantastic tool to add to your arsenal! In this lesson, we cover: The Triplet Technique: A breakdown of the 3-2-1 forward roll pattern and how to count it to get that rapid-fire sound. Boogie-Woogie Melody: How to combine slides and thumb-led melody notes on the third and fourth strings for that classic bluesy bounce. Navigating the G7 Transition: A simple way to use a G7 shape to bridge the gap between your G and C chords. Walking Up the Neck: Using partial D7 shapes and triple-string pinches to navigate the higher "B part" of the tune. The High-Neck Slide: A step-by-step guide to the slides and shapes at the 7th, 10th, and 12th frets for a professional finish. Remember, you don't have to play every single note exactly like I do. Find the line that you like best and make the tune your own! / jimpankey / wildjimbo / wildjimbo / jim.pankey Have you ever tried using triplets in your solos before?
