The Neputa Festival is one of the most famous festivals in Japan. It is held every summer in Aomori Prefecture. It is often inspired by Japanese mythology and samurai. However, it was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus. The name of the festival changes slightly depending on the region of Aomori Prefecture, such as Nebuta or Neputa. Typical examples are Aomori Nebuta in Aomori City, Hirosaki Neputa in Hirosaki City, and Tachi Neputa in Goshogawara City. This Tachi Neputa Hall is a place where you can see Tachi Neputa all year round. Where I went this time.
