Rappler Live Jam: ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ cast
The cast of Jesus Christ Superstar are coming to Rappler Live Jam on Thursday, May 21. Jesus Christ Superstar started out as a concept album of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice in 1969, until it was finally staged on Broadway in 1971. The iconic rock opera depicts the final week of Jesus’ life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. It is currently being staged in the Philippines by GMG Productions, with Filipina actress Gab Pangilinan as Mary Magdalene, American actor Javon King as Judas, and British actor Luke Street as Jesus.
