Kubota L48 (2003+) Stop Solenoid - troubleshooting, sourcing and replacing

I go through the troubleshooting process with a Kubota L48 tractor with a no-start situation, narrowing down the issue to a bad stop solenoid (a common problem). I go through the various steps to determine if the problem is the solenoid itself or one of the circuits that feed the power to the solenoid that allows fuel to flow. I need to add that a Kubota L48 from 2002 or before has a very different stop solenoid, and loosening or removing the solenoid won't allow the engine to start (ever). And Kubota is very "creative" about assigning years to their tractors, so you really (!) need to make sure which solenoid you have. The 2003+ solenoids have a very long shaft that pulls into the solenoid body when power is applied, while the 2002 and before has a much shorter (1 inch?) shaft that extends when power is applied. I sourced my solenoid from a no-name vendor because I needed to get the tractor running ASAP, and I could get it in one day (and for a small fraction of the price of the Kubota part). Not much risk, since swapping it out if it fails is a very quick and easy job. If this video helps, I'd appreciate it if you'd like the video and consider subscribing to my channel. That will make it easier for you to find similar videos - current and future - and no doubt I'll be doing more Kubota L48 videos (working on a swing cylinder video now). Thanks!
