The Child who visits homes and unites all of Xochimilco Friends, we went to meet #Niñopa in #Xochimilco and experience one of the most profound and moving #traditions of this town. 🤍 In this video, we witness the moment when the outgoing mayordomía (stewardship) hands over Niñopa to the new mayordomo (steward), a ceremony filled with #faith, commitment, and community pride. We experienced the #brincodelchinelo (Chinelo dance), the giant masks, the music, and the energy that fill the streets of #Xochimilcoinmyheart on one of the most important days of the year. We arrived at the Xochimilco Cathedral, where thousands of #faithful gathered with their #NiñoDios (Child God) to celebrate a tradition that is more alive than ever. What you feel here goes beyond religion: it's unity, identity, and love for the customs passed down from generation to generation.
