A SUDDEN WHIRLWIND RUNS, DESTROYING HOUSES IN SOUTH TAMBUN A terrifying incident occurred in Kampung Buwek, Sumberjaya Village, Tambun Selatan District, Bekasi, on Thursday (July 9, 2026) afternoon at around 1:10 PM WIB. A tornado suddenly appeared and swept through residential areas, leaving behind a trail of significant damage. According to circulating amateur video footage, a dark-colored whirlwind can be seen spinning at high speed, striking buildings along its path. The extraordinary force of the wind ripped roofs off homes and scattered debris across the streets. Residents at the scene panicked when they saw the whirlwind approaching their homes and immediately sought shelter in safer areas. Authorities are currently conducting field assessments to determine the number of damaged buildings and assess the material losses suffered by residents.
