Today we visited Estación Gutiérrez, a small community located in the municipality of Fresnillo, in the state of Zacatecas. This town has approximately 806 inhabitants and is situated at an altitude of over 2,080 meters above sea level. Within the municipality of Fresnillo, it ranks 22nd in population, making it one of the important communities in the region. Estación Gutiérrez is located 31 kilometers south of Fresnillo and is near communities like Redención. Its name reflects the area's railway history, as many communities in northern Mexico grew up around old train stations. On this tour, we explored its streets, the town's atmosphere, and what life is like in this community in the state of Zacatecas.
