Kasteel Hengebach - Heimbach Duitsland

Castle Hengebach was built on a slate rock in the 11th century. The castle is one of the oldest structures in the Eifel. Over the centuries, this castle has had a very fascinating history. Various lordships have ruled over this area from this fortress. The lion of the counts of Jülich can still be found in the city coat of arms. The enclosed courtyard and watchtower are accessible all year round. In the summer months, the castle serves as a backdrop for concerts and music workshops.
