SwitchCraft (SHORT FILM)

LOGLINE: Two witch half-sisters attempt to perform a spell to bring back their deceased father, but when it apparently backfires, the two switch bodies. SwitchCraft A year ago today, on my 30th birthday, I filmed SwitchCraft, a story of two witches who attempt a spell to bring back their deceased father, but when the spell fails, they switch bodies. And now on my 31st birthday, I release it to the world. Despite numerous setbacks in production, this film meant a lot to me in my film journey. The crew I had on this film has since become a lot of regulars for the films I have gone on to create since this film, and have loved growing with everyone and creating art together. On set, we had around 60 planes fly by during the course of the shoot, and this isn’t even hyperbole: by far the hardest production I’ve hand when it comes to post production sound. In addition to filming in a public place (with a permit), we had a lot of minor delays that caused us to fall behind on set, eventually losing the light. All this being said, my goal was to bring a George Lucas-inspired film to a magical medieval-esque fantasy world, essentially a spiritual successor to a previous film, Emerald and the Gloomshade. It’s not perfect, but without SwitchCraft, I would not have been as prepared for some of the projects I’ve done since then.
