The Korn Song Nobody Liked at First
Munky explains the story behind Korn’s “Did My Time.” The riff had been written years earlier, but when James ‘Munky’ Shaffer first brought it to the band, neither Korn nor producer Michael Beinhorn liked it. The idea was shelved and nearly forgotten. Years later, when Korn began producing their own material, the riff resurfaced and eventually became the song fans know today. This clip comes from a session I filmed with Munky discussing his guitar tone and songwriting process.
