How to make a Scratch Stock - DIY Woodworking Project
I needed a Scratch stock as I have many old wooden windows to renovate. Some of the windows are 18th century and a Scratch Stock is the best option for matching the profiles of the frames. I made this one from scrap pieces of Oak and Birch. It uses 6mm Furniture Bolts to hold the Handle and Blade. The Blades are made from a scrap piece of old Bandsaw Blade from my local Wood Yard / Mill. The tool works great and cost very little to make :) It gives me the option to match any profile I need by shaping Blades using files. If you like what I do, please subscribe, like and share.
