London Re-Calling: Terry Rowe's American Soccer Adventure

For Episode 13 of "Let's Twist Again," we're celebrating one full year of reliving the history of the Indiana Twisters by welcoming one of the most accomplished players ever to wear the club's colors: Terry Rowe. Born in London and developed through the youth system with Brentford FC, Terry's career took him from the challenges of English football in the late 1970s and 1980s to the golden age of American indoor soccer. Along the way he starred for the Wichita Wings, Tampa Bay Rowdies, Detroit Neon, Anaheim Splash, and the Indianapolis Twisters, becoming one of the most respected defenders in the game. In this wide-ranging conversation, Terry shares stories about growing up in London, choosing football over cricket, dealing with racism in English football, playing during the glory days of the MISL, helping launch the Twisters, and why the 1996-97 Twisters remain one of the most special teams of his career.
