Starring 30 years earlier in the famous low-budget horror film "Camp Bloodbath", Amanda Cartwright (Malin Akerman from Watchmen) dies in a car accident, leaving her teenage daughter Max (Taissa Farmiga from Higher Ground) alone. Three years passed and Max, now a student, agreed to attend a tribute screening of "Camp Bloodbath", now a cult film, organized by a fellow student. As the film passes in front of a few hundred enthusiastic students, an accident occurs and the cinema catches fire.
