The Ishiyama Sakamoto Line (in the direction of Sakamoto Hiei Yamaguchi) leaves the station and goes straight on at the intersection, and the Keihan Line (in the direction of Sanjo Keihan) turns left at the intersection on a sharp curve. Because of the combined track, there are some scenes where the train departing from the station waits at the red light at the intersection.
