Sesión General Académica NHCGJIM "Manejo y prevención de fracturas de cadera"

Today, we had the honor of hosting Dr. Luis Fernando Herrera Fuentes, a physician in the Traumatology and Orthopedics Department and Medical Subdirector of the Eastern Civil Hospital, at the New Civil Hospital of Guadalajara "Dr. Juan I. Menchaca." He presented on "Management and Prevention of Hip Fractures" in the hospital's main auditorium. During the lecture, he addressed the epidemiological importance of hip fractures, their proper identification and classification, the different surgical approaches according to each patient's biological and functional characteristics, and prevention strategies focused on the family and community environment. This knowledge is fundamental for addressing one of the most impactful pathologies in the elderly population.
