Boarding was delayed by 8 minutes due to work delays. Even though the tatami-matted seating on the 3rd floor was crowded, there was a carpeted space between the 4th floor game corner and the stairs (I actually slept there). The R-floor observation deck was closed (because it was a night voyage?). I could hear the engine noise and vibrations the whole time, but I feel like I slept at times and also like I was awake the whole time. However, I wasn't very sleepy and was surprisingly alert. My bottom and legs started to hurt, and I woke up at some point. I felt a cold breeze. Was it the outside air from the open deck door or the air conditioning? It's quite cold in short sleeves, so it's a good idea to bring a blanket or a light jacket. A bizarre sight: everyone slurping udon noodles on the second floor at 1:30 AM. If you want to get a good night's sleep, pay extra for a premium seat, or board early to secure a spot and fall asleep immediately.
