In 2014 the Marine Corps rebranded Marsoc as Marine Raiders in honor of the unit’s WWII origins. Today’s the Raiders stand shoulder to shoulder with other Tier 2 operators. Their motto "Always Faithful, Always Forward" reflects a combination of loyalty and determination. The origins of the Royal Marine Commandos date back to the reign of Charles II. In 1664, a force of 1200 men called the 'Admiral’s Regiment' was established. Fast forward to the second World War, the Royal Marines Commandos were created. Today, they are the Royal Navy’s elite amphibious force. Their motto is ‘Per Mare Per Terram’ – ‘By sea, by land’. Spearheading Marine Corps special operations, the marine raiders excel in direct action, unconventional warfare, maritime interdiction, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, and counterinsurgency, among others. Marine Raiders have recently carved out a unique niche “on-the-ground cyber warfare”. While the Royal Marine Commandos specialize in conducting amphibious assaults, utilizing their expertise in launching coordinated attacks from land, sea and air. Beyond amphibious warfare, they engage in high-risk missions such as reconnaissance, sabotage, and hostage rescue. The 43 Commando Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines is responsible to protect Britain’s strategic nuclear weapons. Aa a base unit, MSOT is a dedicated group of 14 Marines. Leading the charge is the Team Commander, a Captain. Right by his side is the Team Chief, a seasoned Master Sergeant and an Operations SNCO. Communications SNCO ensures that every piece of information flows smoothly and accurately. On the other hand, British Marine Commandos are organized under the umbrella of 3 Commando Brigade. There are serval battalions sized units, of which six are designated as "Commandos". Units like 40, 42, and 45 Commandoes, each comprising approximately 650 to 700 personnel, are the heart of the Brigade. For detailed conclusion, watch the video.
