Unlike Rumpelstiltskin, Habetrot demands no bargain, no first-born child, and no name-guessing game in return. What unfolds is a quietly radical folk tale: one that raises questions about truth and lies, about agency and helplessness, and about the supposed relationship between work and reward. This episode peels back the layers of a ancient Border myth to reveal its radical core.
