There are 5 things that have been true on YouTube since day one — and everybody out here is A/B testing, buying new gear, and fighting the algorithm instead of just getting these right. Stop overcomplicating it. The YouTube algorithm doesn't kill channels. Boring openings do. Thumbnails get the eye. The title closes the deal. Bad audio becomes the entire show. And there is no algorithm hack for personality. In this livestream, we break down the 5 YouTube rules that have never changed: 1. The Hook — You have about 10 seconds. Tell people exactly why they should stay. The hook isn't a trick, it's a contract. 2. The Thumbnail — Your thumbnail is your book cover. People judge books by their covers. Contrast, a human face with emotion, and minimal text stop the scroll. 3. The Title — The thumbnail gets the eye. The title closes the deal. A good title answers one question: what will I get if I watch this? Searchable AND clickable. Tension gets attention. 4. Audio — Bad audio, people will go. You don't need a $400 mic, but you need something better than AirPods. Audio is invisible when it's good — and becomes the entire show when it's bad. 5. Be Yourself — This is the easiest and the hardest one. There is no algorithm hack for personality. Consistency of self matters more than consistency of upload schedule.
