Hello again! In this video, I’m exploring an obscure FMV point-and-click videogame you’ve probably never heard of, but one you should experience at least once in your adventure gaming life. Players take on the role of Peter Grey, a divorced and depressed rare-bookstore owner, who’s abruptly propelled into the comic-book world of Noctropolis, an eerie, eccentric city shrouded in perpetual darkness. After its last superhero, Darksheer, retires, Peter is tasked with replacing the cloaked crusader, teaming up with sidekick Stiletto and confronting nefarious individuals, in a bid to save the city from the evil mastermind, Flux. Developed by Flashpoint Productions, and published by EA in 1994, the game features surreal, gothic visuals, a brooding soundtrack, and a cast of relatively unknown actors, setting the true tone for its dark story and setting.
