During our stay, we ventured out to Trephina Gorge, Corroboree Rock, and the remarkable Gosses Bluff Crater, each offering a unique glimpse into the geology and deep cultural history of Central Australia. The colours, rugged rock formations, and wide open spaces made every drive and stop an adventure in itself. We also explored some of the West MacDonnell highlights, including Ormiston Gorge, Simpsons Gap, and the beautiful Emily and Jessie Gaps, as well as the peaceful Roma Gorge. Each location showcased towering cliffs, shaded gorges, and striking contrasts between red rock, green vegetation, and blue skies. We based ourselves at Temple Bar Caravan Park, which made a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the region.
