Palo Duro Canyon - Hiking the Lighthouse Trail & More!

Palo Duro Canyon State Park is the second largest canyon in the United States behind the Grand Canyon and is also known as the Grand Canyon of Texas! Located near Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle, it features dozens of trails for hiking, biking, mountain biking and horse riding and has multiple tent and RV campgrounds - it even has a campground to bring your own horses! Some of the more popular hiking trails in the park are the Lighthouse trail, the CCC trail and the Rock Garden trail. There are also other cool spots to check out such as the Big Cave and an old cowboy dugout.
