Lagg Distillery is built by the Lochranza Distillery, producers of Arran, to only distill peated malt. Up until Lagg, Arran distilled it's own peated malt, calling it Machrie Moor. Machrie Moor has been a success and this Lagg is aiming to pick up where Machrie Moor left it. I compare Lagg Kilmory to peated Arran of yesteryear, Machrie Moor Cask Strength.
