Tsuki Kotegaeshi

Kotegaeshi is a technique found in several martial arts, whether in Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, among others. In Aikido, it is a traditional and basic technique, like Ikkyo, Shiho Nage and Irimi Nage. It can be considered one of the most cinematic techniques in Aikido, where it gained fame in Steven Seagal's films. There are countless ways to apply it, here in the video I explore what in my view is the basic form and some possible variations that I use in my practice.
