GEORGE HINCAPIE - Founder and Team Lead of Modern Adventure Pro Cycling
What’s your year zero for being a pro cycling fan? Maybe Tadej’s exploits pulled you in. Or was it Froome and the Sky train? Perhaps you go all the way back to that magical 1989 Tour de France. Or is it an origin story, like so many, lost in the fog of time? For George Hincapie, his love started with the greats like Lemond and Hinault. When he went pro, he had the chance to race with more idols. And now as a retired pro, he’s working to nurture a new crop of talented riders with the Modern Adventure Pro Cycling Team. Ahead of the season, Factor Chief Brand Officer, David Millar, sat down with Hincapie to discuss the motivation behind founding a cycling team as well as their goals and motivation for the years ahead.
