Tatting - holding thread - alternative method.
An alternative way to hold and tension your thread while tatting. This is an excellent way to tat, quite easy to get into a rhythm and quickly develop speed while tatting. If you are an experienced crocheter or knitter looking to learn tatting, this is the hand hold I recommend. I demonstrate while making rings. For chains simply wrap the thread around your pinky, but hold knots (working area) in the same manner. This is how I was taught and how most of the ladies in my lace guild hold their thread while working. Remember, the knot doesn't care how it was made. Happy tatting!
