Festival del Giornalismo Ludico 2026 – Progetto Industria Creativa

The second edition of the Game Journalism Festival, organized by ioGioco magazine, took place on June 6 and 7, 2026, in Urbino, as part of the Urbino in Gioco – World Game Day event. On this channel, we offer the meetings that took place on the stage set up in the Fortezza Albornoz. Creative Industry Project Games as an Element of Cultural Mediation The meeting will offer an opportunity to discuss Germany's role as a strategic hub for board game design, game publishing, and international game localization. Through discussions with representatives of some of the most important players in the European game industry, including Carol Rapp, Director of SPIEL Essen, and Sebastian Rapp of Asmodee Germany, the panel will highlight how language skills, cultural mediation, and knowledge of German today represent concrete tools for accessing new professions in game publishing, translation, communication, and game journalism. The initiative was born from the planning of German language and literature professors at DISCUI – Carlo Bo University of Urbino, with the aim of enhancing the connection between language training, creativity, and the European cultural industry.
