We're often asked how we manage to keep our large garden in good shape. Is it really like that? Be surprised... Enjoy the video We're Dani and Klaus, we're from Kiel, and we've been running an allotment garden of approximately 1200 square meters since 2009. Strictly speaking, there are three adjacent gardens, and since January 2021, we've added another (adjacent) garden, which is currently overgrown and full of trash, including a shed that's ready to be demolished. This would give us a total of around 1600 square meters. We grow plenty of vegetables on a large part of the area and in our greenhouses, and since there's usually too much, we give some away. What family and friends can't take and doesn't have room in the freezer ends up in our food-sharing display, where walkers and neighbors can help themselves. We don't allow livestock, but our three dogs, Emmi, Kira, and Luca, are allowed to romp around in the garden as they please. Our Lilli, who sadly passed away in November 2019, can sometimes be seen in older videos. With our videos, we want to share in the fun we have in the garden and take you into our little world of (partial) self-sufficiency.
