My Sewing Story, Back to Basics: Intro

Welcome to Hen Den Quilting! 🧵✨ In this first video of my new Back to Basics quilting series, I’m sharing a little about my sewing and quilting journey, how I first learned to sew as a child, and how quilting became a lifelong passion for me. From teaching myself on a vintage Montgomery Ward sewing machine to falling in love with Amish quilts in Lancaster, PA, quilting has been a creative outlet, therapy, and career path all in one. Along the way, I’ve worked in a quilt shop, taught quilting classes, and become a longarm quilter working with quilts of every skill level. This series is designed for: ✔ Beginner quilters ✔ Experienced quilters wanting fresh tips and techniques ✔ Sewists looking to improve their quilting skills ✔ Anyone who loves fabric, creativity, and handmade quilts Whether you’re making your very first quilt or you’ve been quilting for decades, there’s always something new to learn in the sewing and quilting world. In this channel, I’ll be sharing: 🪡 Quilting basics 🪡 Sewing tips and tricks 🪡 Fabric and color advice 🪡 Longarm quilting insights 🪡 Beginner-friendly quilting tutorials 🪡 Honest quilting opinions and lessons learned along the way I believe quilts are meant to be used, loved, and shared — and I hope this series helps inspire confidence and creativity in your own quilting journey. 👍 Like, Subscribe, and follow along for more quilting tutorials and sewing inspiration! #quilting #sewing #beginnerquilting #quilttutorial #longarmquilting #quiltingtips #sewingtutorial #amishquilts #quiltmaker #fiberarts
