My First Week with a Sun Conure Parrot

Sun Conures are beautiful. This video shows how we started taming and training during our first week together. I started the taming process by giving treats through the cage bars. Once the Sun Conure was happy to take treats through the cage, I placed my hand inside the enclosure and let the Conure take treats directly from my hand. This Sun Conure didn’t want to step up on my hand right away. And that’s okay. I respect that. It takes time to develop trust. Sun Conures are very curious. It didn’t take long before he was ready to step up on a perch to come out of his cage.
