Purple martins from eggs to fledglings in less than 10 minutes

Purple martins raised by a sub adult pair at San Benito, Texas July-August 2013 season. Amazing to witness the transformation from hatching to flying in about 30 days. I shot one clip per day and occasionally two, so everyday is represented in this video. The last egg was laid on 06/27/2013, three newborns hatched on 07/06/2013 (second clip), the other 2 on 07/07/2013 (clips 3 and 4). nestlings opened eyes and ears on day 9, 07/14/2013 (2 clips). First fledged bird on day 28 08/02/2013, three more on 08/03/2013, all came back to roost the following day 08/04/2013, the martins hung around for a couple of weeks gathering mainly in the mornings and finally moved on.
