I went through a “if I were a boy” phase, since my dad thought it was cute to keep my hair in a teeny weeny fro. My mom loved my curls and taught me to love them too. I did so many things wrong to my hair, from wearing my hair in bun 24/7 to decorating my head in ringlets. I embraced my hair fully in high school and was known for my big curls. I chopped it all off after pledging to be shameless. I experimented with colors. I had so much fun! Now ya girl is recovering from heat damage and on the journey to full healthy hair!
